My name is Shepsi Haider. I'm an actor, writer, and filmmaker based in London.
I trained at the New York Film Academy and have since worked across film, theatre and voice. My credits include independent features in the UK and America—one of them, Inner City Rats, is on Amazon. Further a lead role in an award-winning BBC production; immersive aerial theatre, commercials for Bacardi and Snapchat, voiceover work for the video game Just Cause, and a popular YouTube series Brooklyn Breeze.
Recently I have written and published an audiobook series named Subversive Stories available to stream on Spotify. I've also spent years working as a photographer. A vocation spawned from an unhealthy obsession to petrify time.
Growing up in South London, I became obsessed with books, people, and watching how life unfolds around me. I've traveled between London, New York and Los Angeles for different projects, but I've always been drawn back to where I’m from.
Now I'm making my first self-written feature film. It's pulled from my own experiences—the places I know, the people I've watched, the stories that stuck with me.
